Galeno: The father of the pharmacy

Hello everyone today I will talk about an influential character from the career of chemistry and pharmacy. Galeno of Pergamo also known as Claudius Galenus He was one of the most important and influential medical researchers of the ancient age, also, his views dominated European medicine in various disciplines such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, neurology and also is currently considered the father of pharmacology. Demonstrated kidney and bladder functions. He demonstrated that blood circulates through the arteries, and not air (as Erasistratus and Herophilus thought). He also attached great importance to the methods of preserving and preparing drugs, the basis of the current pharmaceutical pharmacy. The Galénica Pharmacy is one of the Pharmaceutical Sciences that is in charge of transforming the drug and active ingredients into drugs that are easy to administer and that provide an adequate therapeutic response. Personaly, I think that Galeno is the most important character in today's modern pharmacy, since he studied pharmacy medicine as individual sciences, and his scientific principles are still used today. Therefore, part of the way drug preparation is carried out and its foundations we owe to Galeno. Well, with this I say goodbye until next time

My favorite Movie

Hello again everyone, today I will talk about my favorite movie. The truth is that it is a difficult decision because there are many movies that I really like. After thinking about it for a while, I decided that my favorite movie is pride and prejudice. However, it is a movie based on the Jane Austen book, although like the book it is almost always better than the movie. However, he knew the story of the film. The story is based on the XIX century and it is a love story. I like the movie because it's from a different era where you see the type of costumes and music from those times, and the colors of the scenes are very nice, plus the fact that the story is interesting because Elizabeth, who is the protagonist, defies feminine mandates at times, and that makes it avant-garde since it was written by a woman in times very different from today. In general, I really like those types of movies that are from other times and where the protagonist like him causes a change in the other char...

My last post: my life so far this year

Hi again, everybody. This will be my last post this semester and I will talk about what my year has been so far. The truth is that it has been a difficult year, it is rare because I spent a nice new year on the beach with my family and my boyfriend seeing the stars of that night thinking it would be a good year. But the pandemic truncated all plans for this year. One of the best things that has happened to me this year was a trip I had in February. On that trip I went to Valdivia and Chiloé with my boyfriend, it was a very pleasant trip. From March everything became monotonous and distressing. When the danger of the coronavirus came to light, what most distressed me was the fear that something might happen to my parents, who are the people I love the most in this world, but so far we have all remained healthy. To be honest, the biggest achievement I hope to have this year is that my family and I survive, everything else comes second. Well, with this I say goodbye, I wish everyone can f...
